About ItalSAT

ItalSAT is an IT and communication technology company based in Italy, part of the MediaNET group.

The MediaNET Group, specialized in Information & Communication Technologies solutions, was founded in 1999 and started its activities in collaboration with Eutelsat, one of the main global satellite telecommunication operators.

Since 2000, the MediaNET Group specializes in advanced audio/video communications, taking advantage of both satellite and terrestrial broadband networks, in collaborations with leading companies and agencies on a worldwide basis.

ItalSAT was founded in 2001 as the Research and Development component of the MediaNET Group.

ItalSAT is based with the Marconi Center in the Area Science Park of Trieste, one of the leading multidisciplinar Science Parks in Europe, and in Novi Ligure, in the middle of triangle Turin – Genoa – Milan. We also have a presence in Como (Lario Teleport, with Eutelsat), the EriCERN project (CERN - Erice) and the New High Technology Park at Shenshen City, China, for high quality, low cost electronics production.

In 2002 ItalSAT, as part of the MediaNET Group was able to offer its first videoconference solutions, based on PC and embedded system. Today, we continue to focus on telecollaboration and telepresence solutions for both the professional and consumer markets, with a growing line or products and services for videoconferencing, groupware and telework.
