Teleplace is an ideal environment for addressing a full gamut of training requirements. For informal training, such as a mentoring program, Teleplace can be set up in a matter of minutes to create a secure, personal space for mentor and protégé. For formal training, Teleplace can be set up very simply to deliver a formal training program led by an instructor.

Tools for effective instructor-trainee interaction

Organizational training spans a wide variety of programs and delivery styles, from coaching and mentoring to formal classroom delivery. Features of Teleplace that enable effective instructor-trainee interaction include:

  • Avatars. Can be used as part of the essential “speech-gesture-sketch” communication modes needed for successful interaction.

  • Built-in VoIP. A high bandwidth audio channel provides a richer voice experience than conference calling.

  • Interactive applications using Teleplace Multi-Share™. Instructor and trainees can interact with content, coursework and hands-on lab projects by sharing applications in Teleplace.

A wide variety of content and delivery styles

Multiple students can join the training event from remote locations and fully participate, including having access to course work or lab materials which they can work on while the instructor can interactively assist.

  • On-the-fly virtual space creation. Instructors can create break-out rooms or private coaching spaces on demand, and invite trainees to join them for one-time sessions.

  • Text chat. Students share thoughts without interrupting the instructor or coach.

  • Recording. Training classes can be recorded for post-training analysis and results archiving. An audio log and search content index can be saved from a training session.

  • Interactive whiteboard. For sketching out ideas and communicating concepts.

Ready to use out-of-the-box

Teleplace includes templates for pre-built spaces that can then be chosen on demand. An instructor or coach can make a classroom, lab space, private office, or any other kind of environment by pointing and clicking with their mouse. Content can be added to any space using Teleplace’s innovative drag-and-drop approach to importing content.

Customizable to meet your training requirements

Teleplace is also a highly customizable environment. For example, to conduct role-play training, a detailed model of an environment can be imported into Teleplace. This might be a retail space for shelf layout and customer workflow training, or a complex industrial environment for orientation and safety training. Once built, a space can be turned into a template so that future training events can be held in exactly the same environment.
